I am a fully trained print journalist who has just launched into a broadcasting career. I've enjoyed a successful, fast moving start in journalism, with national recognition and my first foreign assignment in Iraq.
As of October 2006 I was appointed as the Group Head of News for MNA Broadcasting, looking after the news output for four FM radio stations and being lead reporter at the brand new station, the Severn.
I was approached to do the job and design the news operation after almost three years at MNA newspaper titles.
I was a senior reporter at the Shropshire Star, an eight edition evening newspaper with a circulation of 80,000. I started this job after six months as the acting news editor on the Shrewsbury Chronicle, where I had been working since March 2004.
